De-drumming bathtubs and shower trays...
Noise elimination and structure-borne noise reduction of bathroom tubs.
A key element in the elimination of noise in the bathroom is the bathtubs and shower trays. If installed incorrectly, this can transmit structure-borne sound via the floor, walls or the edge of the bath. As a result it is important that there is no direct contact in this area. As a consequence it must be ensured that the tubs are decoupled from the wall or the floor. Between the edge of the tub and the wall, sound insulation strips can reduce sound transmission. Especially steel tub bodies can produce very loud noises when in use, which are often perceived as disturbing. Efficient noise reduction can be achieved with our Teroform anti-drumming heavy foils.
