Foam packaging inserts made of PE or PUR for protection of sensitive products.

Foam packages are particularly recommended when it comes to protection of high-quality and highly sensitive goods. Whatever products you want to package, may it be measurement devices, medical equipment, control units, device modules, or other highly sensitive products. We specialize in helping you find and develop ideal foam packaging solutions that are optimally tailored to your product requirements. An optimum of protection with minimum volume and weight of the packaging material are the basic requirements for transportation safety of products, particularly taking into account the sensitivity of the packaged product and the customer-related logistics. Feel free to call us or send us your inquiry, we will be happy to assist you!

Our top-equipped machinery is designed for the production of economical single pieces or cost-effective series production. We deliver from piece number one!

The density is the weight of the foam in kg/m? (kilogram per cubic meter). The weight or density of the foam is also an indicator of quality, the higher the density, the more long-lasting the quality. However, the density has nothing to do with the perceived degree of hardness. As a rule, lighter foams are cheaper because less material is needed.

The density and compression hardness describe the technical quality of a foam. The compression hardness describes the indentation behaviour of foams at a defined force. The higher this value, the harder the foam feels. An important quality feature of a foam is its density or volume weight (m3 kilograms per cubic meter). As a rule of thumb: -20 - 30 kg/m3 => Quality for seat and back cushions, low-priced mattresses, -30 - 40 kg/cbm => Standard to upscale quality for seat and back cushions, mattresses, boat, camping or garden cushions etc. -40 - 50 kg/cbm => high to very high and very good permanently elastic quality for a wide range of applications

According to your specifications, we can produce almost all geometries on our wide range of processing options such as punching, water jet cutting, contour cutting, shape cutting or cutting plotter. Which process is best suited for the desired foam cutting depends on the foam used as well as the required quality and quantity.

Both products are PE foams and have basically the same properties and application areas. Vibracell feels softer than ethafoam. Vibracell is more elastic, because of the less dimensional stability than Ethafoam. Ethafoam can be machined more easily due to its more compact structure, as a result the edges fray less when milling than with Vibracell. Ethafoam and Vibracell have different panel formats, which can have a positive/negative effect on the utilisation of the panels, depending on the cut.

If you would like to cut the foam to size yourself, there are various possibilities to cut the edges straight and clean. Foam can be cut mechanically with a band saw with a fine-toothed or toothless blade. Foam with a thickness of 20 mm - 30 mm can still be cut very well with sharp scissors. However, if you want to cut thicker foam, you will get very good results with an electric meat knife. Due to the two counter-rotating blades, the material is cut very precisely and cleanly. If you do not have an electric knife at hand, you can also use a conventional bread knife. The bread knife should have a serrated edge. Cutters or meat knives with a smooth blade are not recommended, because the knife becomes dull very quickly and you get frayed edges. a little vegetable oil on the recommended knife blade helps to simplify the cut. Another possibility: So that a "clean" cut is possible, it is advisable to treat the foam with some pressure (using a ruler) and compressit as much as possible to "0" and in this condition use a sharp Cutter to cut through in one go.

The density is a measure of weight per unit volume. The unit is: kg / m 3 (kilograms per cubic meter or kilograms per meter to the power of three) The density is often one of the most important criteria for comparing and selecting foams.
