Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

PE cannot be easily coated or glued. There are still various possibilities to produce PE foams (Ethafoam, Vibracell, Plastazote) to a carrier or to itself. -products can be bonded to each other with double-sided adhesive foil. -Hot glue can be used to fix individual parts. This type of gluing is intended more as an assembly aid than for a permanent connection. -Another possibility is to apply a spray adhesive on both sides of the parts - let it flash off well Join the parts and press them together. -The safest connection of two PE parts is achieved by hot air or mirror welding. What does not work and why: -Water-based adhesives/dispersion adhesives cannot be used, because they are not airtight Do not allow material to dry out.

Vibra?Quash polyethylene foam with its unique properties is ideally suited for outdoor applications. With minimal water and dust absorption in combination with very good sound absorption, flame-retardant properties and minimal water and dust absorption, this material is ideally suited for outdoor applications. Another advantage is the easy cleaning, the high inherent strength and stiffness therefore allows easy processing and assembly.

The rail vehicle standard DIN EN 45545-2 (CEN TS 45545-2) is a European rail vehicle standard. This standard completely replaces national standards such as DIN 5510. Requirement set R1 added to the standard is one of the most difficult to fulfil with regard to test methods. Operating Class 1-4 attached to the standard regulates the hazard level HL 1-4.
