AADORF
Aadorf is situated in the middle of greenery and at the same time very conveniently situated in the triangle of Winterthur (15 kilometres), Frauenfeld (10 kilometres) and Wil (15 kilometres). By train, bus and car, these cities as well as Zurich and St.Gallen can be reached in the shortest time. Aadorf is a regional junction for public transport and has a motorway connection in the immediate vicinity. Centres are nearby Zurich and St.Gallen can be reached by public transport in only 40 minutes and by car in a good half hour - interesting for all those who work in these economic centres but would like to live in a natural environment.Winterthur can be reached by train in less than 20 minutes and by car in 15 minutes. Ideal population structure With 8,843 inhabitants, Aadorf is the seventh largest municipality in the canton of Thurgau. It is situated around 530 metres above sea level and has a total area of 20 square kilometres. The villages of Aadorf, Ettenhausen, Guntershausen, H?uslenen, Weiern and Wittenwil belong to Aadorf. The population structure is very diverse and ideal: a quarter of the inhabitants are under 20 years old, another quarter between 20 and 39 years old. Around a third are aged between 40 and 64, and a good 12 percent are older. In recent years, Aadorf has grown at an above-average rate compared with the entire canton of Thurgau. Around 84 percent of the population are Swiss nationals. Comparatively favourable tax situation Comparing the infrastructure offered in Aadorf with the tax rate, the municipality is thereby also very attractive in this respect.
