Round stop buffer

Stop buffers are designed to act as shock absorbers. Fasteners, such as bolts or internal threads, only have elastic rubber added on one side. When the stop buffer is set into vibrational movement resulting from the shocks, it comes to a rest after a few oscillation periods. This type of energy absorption, also called damping, corresponds to a subcritical bearing where the natural frequency of the oscillating system is greater than the frequency of the component that causes the vibration.
